Lauren still has not mastered the concept of trick or treating. She wouldn’t talk and just clutched the candy in her hands, never putting it in her bag. But she was pretty excited to try the candy. Ironically, she didn’t like chocolate or lollipops, so there wasn’t much candy left.
She was a little German girl this year. It is a costume that my mom bought in Germany and my sister wore when she was little.
Lauren and Mama. I was a blue crayon for work.
Lolo holding the pumpkin we grew.
Since she had so much fun dressing up earlier in the week, she insisted on wearing her Wonder Woman costume to school a couple days later.
Here is a picture of Aunt Nikki wearing the dirndl at age 2 yrs.
This is Lolo’s cousin Kathryn wearing it last year
Nice pictures. She is a cutie!
I bought that tiny dirndl at a church rummage sale in Salzburg in 1976, to give to my niece Shannon Malone Price (she was also two years old at that time!)
It was passed back to us when Juli & Nikki were tiny, then packed away & forgotten for many years. So fun to see the granddaughters wearing it now!
So sweet! I love your mom’s recollection of the dirndl. When Gwyneth was little, she didn’t understand trick or treating either (why would they, really). She tried to walk into everyone’s house when they opened the door. Haha. The life of a toddler: Everyone loves me and everyone’s my friend!
