Brett and I went to Colorado to visit Lynn and Galen for a belated Christmas and our last ski trip of the season. We skied two days in Aspen: one at Snowmass and the second at Aspen Highlands. I was 16 weeks pregnant at this point, so we took extra precautions by periodically check oxygen saturation with a pulse oximeter, eating lots of snacks, and making frequent stops to rest (and pee).
It was an amazing couple days, but definitely not our most hard core. To Juli’s dismay, she did not have the stamina to ski until the 4pm lift either day. We decided to make this the last ski trip of the season. Brett was more sure of this, while Juli thought one last hurrah in Utah could work. However, by the end of the trip, both agreed that skiing after 16 weeks was maybe not the best plan. Baby Hesty skied 5 days in his or her first season, which we feel is pretty impressive.
